Record Momentum in 2020
As we enter the final quarter of 2020, and in spite of COVID and other headwinds impacting our industry, Flashpoint has achieved record momentum this year.
Specifically, we have greatly expanded the breadth and depth of our offering and our customer base, reflected in the following milestones:
• We now serve 34 of the companies in the Fortune 100 and 4 of the Fortune 10, as well as major arms of the US Government
• Our customers come from across an increasing array of industries, and we have seen particularly strong growth among medium-sized organizations looking to build their intelligence and SOC expertise;
• We have overachieved on our sales, retention, and growth targets each quarter year-to-date;
• We released 3 new product lines in 2020 to date, including Compromised Credentials Monitoring: Enterprise and Customer, and Data Exposure Alerting;
• The Flashpoint community continues to grow, as we have added 83 new customers to the Flashpoint roster in 2020 thus far, and our employee team is expanding consistently as well, with an extensive list of planned hires in Q4
Expanding the Team: Welcoming Donald Saelinger as President
I’m excited to announce that Donald Saelinger has joined the Flashpoint team as President, where he will oversee a number of initiatives to accelerate Flashpoint’s growth and scale.
Donald previously served as the Chief Operating Officer of Endgame, an endpoint detection and response company, where he helped guide the company through a sustained period of rapid growth culminating in the sale of the company to Elastic in 2019. Before Endgame, Donald was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Opower, where he helped the company through a 2014 IPO and the subsequent 2016 sale of the company to Oracle.
Award-Winning Collaboration with Industry
Throughout 2020, Flashpoint has heavily invested in our collaboration with the security community, to help organizations navigate the impacts of economic slowdowns, social and political uncertainty, and increasingly distributed workforces leading to a greater online footprint.
Working with multiple Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs), we launched a project in April to extend free access to Flashpoint’s Converged Intelligence and Risk Platform for participating ISAC members. With this free access, organizations were able to address and stop threats by leveraging our compromised credentials monitoring, our vulnerability intelligence, our malware intelligence, FPCollab (our sharing community), and integrations to automate the use of intelligence into their teams’ existing workflows.
Flashpoint endeavors to make a large community impact in helping others reduce threat and risk whether they’re Flashpoint customers or not. To that end, we offer sharing associations helpful intelligence, data, and insights to protect their members. This month, Flashpoint was named the Associate Company of the Year for 2020 by the Retail & Hospitality ISAC Core Members. Flashpoint received this recognition for the third time in the last four years, and it is a reflection of our team’s hard work to support the entire security community.
Total Economic Impact Shows 5x ROI and 3 Month Payback Period with Flashpoint
2020 has ushered in a trend where security teams are seeing increasing budget and staffing cuts, while also being asked to serve an increasingly mission-critical function in the organization. Fortunately, Flashpoint is positioned to significantly help organizations by supporting multiple use cases (from vulnerability and malware intelligence to card fraud and to physical threats), leading the charge on vendor consolidation, and uncovering threats before loss occurs.
To help customers quantify the benefits of being a Flashpoint customer, in collaboration with Forrester, we commissioned a study to evaluate the cost savings and benefits enabled by Flashpoint. This Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study walks through multiple use cases with quantified benefits that demonstrate an ROI approaching 5x, with a payback period of less than 3 months.
Please download the full report to see why we’re confident you’ll find the same success cutting costs while boosting productivity as our customer who noted that Flashpoint “paid for my entire suite of security tools.”
