What’s New

We’re excited to announce a new feature that will significantly enhance the experience for Flashpoint Managed Attribution (MA) users. It is now possible to access and reset an IP address on demand, saving time and minimizing administrative delays.

Why It Matters

When conducting virtual operations, such as primary source research, data recovery, or analysis, downtime and delays can have a significant impact. Analysts and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) Practitioners often experience IP bans caused by certain user activity, such as repeated page refreshes or suspicious activity, leading to workflow disruptions and hindered productivity. This new self-service feature addresses these issues.

For analysts and investigators, this means:

  • Reduced downtime for customers facing IP bans: Analysts can quickly regain access to necessary services if their IP is blocked, allowing them to continue investigations without significant interruption.
  • Decreased dependency on customer support for network-related issues: Analysts are empowered to resolve access issues independently, allowing them to focus on threat analysis rather than waiting for support intervention.

This enhanced self-serve capability enables better productivity and a more streamlined workflow for Flashpoint MA users.

How It Works

If a user encounters an IP ban, they can simply click the Reset Exit IP button to reset it.

Users will be notified of the progress of their request and will receive a confirmation message after successfully resetting their IP address. The new IP address will be updated within approximately 30 seconds of completion. All IP reset requests will be logged by the system.
