Andrew Borene is Flashpoint’s Executive Director for Global Security. A former senior official at the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) and at the National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC), Andrew led initiatives on counterintelligence, counterterrorism, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and advanced technology. Previously in government, he was an Associate Deputy General Counsel at the Pentagon. He is a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran and was an advisor at CIA. Andrew also has significant private sector cybersecurity and international investigations leadership experience in Fortune 500 technology companies, including IBM, Symantec, and LexisNexis. Andrew has a JD from the University of Minnesota Law School, BA in Economics from Macalester College, and executive education from Harvard University. He is a past recipient of the FBI Director’s Award and the ODNI Exceptional Achievement Award.

Meet The Speakers
Christian Rencken is the Principal Strategic Advisor at Flashpoint, overseeing technical intelligence strategies across the United States. His expertise stems from a robust background in cyber intelligence analysis, where he specialized in researching cyber threats originating from Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and various eCrime groups. Much of his work centered on Russian eCrime operations, encompassing criminal forum analysis, threat actor profiling, and strategic RFI writing. Before joining Flashpoint, Christian worked at Crowdstrike where he was the Global Technical Lead of Falcon Intelligence Recon and was also the Team Lead of the Strategic Threat Advisor team.
