What’s new

We’re thrilled to introduce Communities results deduplication, an exciting addition designed to enhance your search experience. This new feature automatically identifies and groups duplicate posts, ensuring that you receive only unique information, regardless of variations in the source or author.

Our deduplication function effectively recognizes repetitive content and automatically condenses duplicate posts. Users have the option to view each duplicate post individually if needed.

Why it matters

Duplicate posts create “noise” in search results, causing you to scroll through similar messages to find what you truly need. Communities results deduplication tackles this issue head-on, saving you valuable time and effort.

Benefits for You:

  • Reduced Noise: Focus on unique information and avoid wasting time on repetitive content.
  • Increased Efficiency: Find what you’re looking for faster with cleaner, more concise search results.
  • Deeper Insights: Easily access all duplicate posts by clicking the designated link for a comprehensive view.

How it works

Searching within communities remains the same, but the results are now streamlined. Our advanced algorithms now identify duplicate posts based on content similarity.

Here’s what you’ll see:

  • Deduplicated Results: When you encounter a group of duplicate posts, you’ll see a single result displayed.
  • Relevance or Date Sorting: If you sort by relevance, the most relevant post based on our search algorithm will be shown. Sorting by date will display the most recent or oldest post depending on your selection.
  • View Duplicate Posts: Each deduplicated result includes a “View Duplicate Posts” link. Clicking this link opens a dedicated search for that specific post, showcasing all duplicates alongside filtering options and analytics – just like a regular search result.
